MAGIC SUMMER TOUR 2024

DJ Jazzy Jeff Kicked off the night spinning all the popular dance tunes and mixes. Also joined in with NKOTB to mix in some tracks as well. As Donnie said DJ Jazzy was there many years ago when they were just barely 20 years old and he’s still there helping. That’s true friendship is what that is and you don’t see that much anymore.

Paula Abdul opening for The New Kids On The Block with an impressive choreographed dance to go along with her music. Her popular songs from way back in the 90’s such as “Rush Rush” “Forever Your Girl” and Cold Hearted Snake and many more.

At the young age of 62 she still gives concerts her everything. Her debut album, "Forever Your Girl," released in 1988, pushed her to stardom, yielding hit singles such as "Straight Up," "Forever Your Girl," and "Opposites Attract." Her 30 minute set was non stop dancing and changing some outfits with her dancers working just as hard on stage to produce an awesome show.

In addition to her music career, Paula also was a judge on the television show American Idol. Abdul has received several music awards, including American Music Awards and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, highlighting her contributions to the entertainment sector.

The New Kids On The Block brought the party to Saratoga NY as well as the fans. They were told to wear neon to the “party” and boy did they ever. NKOTB fans are some of the loudest fans that i have ever had the pleasure to witness. Super involved crowd and the most colorful as well. I don’t think there was a fan in the crowd that wasn’t dancing, singing or waving their arms. The 5 guys put on a great show and was the first time being back to Saratoga in roughly 34 years. The band is made up of Joey,Jordan,Donnie,Danny and Jon and these guys in their early 50’s dance and work the stage as if age was no difference.

New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) emerged in the late 1980s. Formed in Boston, Massachusetts the group quickly gained the attention of young teenage girls. They fell right in love with the looks and dance moves of this group. Doesn’t matter who you seem to ask if they were a fan they had their favorite one of the five.

The group's self-titled debut album was released in 1986, leading to their rise to fame with hits like "Hangin' Tough" and "Step By Step." The band was one of the pioneers of the boy band phenomenon, influencing many groups that followed. In fact many over the 30 plus years have toured with NKOTB.

After achieving immense success in the late '80s and early '90s, including multiple platinum albums and sold-out tours, NKOTB did at one time seperate to only regroup in 2008 to hit the road running and start touring again. With new music mixed with old the fans still follow them after all these years and have even gained a new generation of fans as well. The will tell you they cant get enough and many follow them from venue to venue just to see more. The eruption of the screams could probably be heard for miles from (SPAC) The saying “lets raise the roof” is real and maybe just maybe a few bolts were rattled loose on August 11,2024
