Marcus King and his band visited the Syracuse Landmark on June 8, 2024. Opening the night was Cecilia Castleman, a very talented singer, songwriter and guitarist from Nashville Tennessee. She opens with "Waiting on You", a song about not really giving up on a relationship until the other person signals it's over. The following songs were - Lonely nights - You Go Thru Girls Like You Go Thru Cigarettes - Pick and Lose . Then came a wonderful rendition of Tom Petty's Break down. She finished with - You don't know me that well - and It's alright, a song about things and money can't keep and control you, (" I don't need your money, I don't need your time") because in the end, you're in control of your own destiny ( "I'll see you soon, maybe, I don't know, but, darling, it's alright" ). Cecilia writes and sings from her heart, and is someone you could sit back and listen to for hours. She received a standing ovation from the crowd. Well done, well deserved. Keep your eyes and ears open for this one !
