East Nash Grass, the 35th Annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards "New Artist of the Year" traveled to Syracuse and performed Friday, March 7 at the Wescott Theater Syracuse, NY. East Nash Grass hails from Nashville , TN.
The set lasted close to 90 minutes, consisting of jamming hard-driving bluegrass at its finest. There were some slower instrumental tunes thrown in, well appreciated . This band is hot, and the musicians are highly accomplished artists - James Kee (Guitar), Harry Clark (Mandolin), Cory Walker (Banjo), Maddie Denton (Fiddle), Jeff Partin (Bass) and, not present, Gaven Largent (dobro). The vocals were excellent too.
The audience loved this band, and I'm sure agrees East Nash Grass gets a huge thumbs up and would be welcomed back anytime in the future for another foot-stomping round of fine bluegrass music.
