It was an old-fashioned 4th of July Celebration in the Town of Greece, and headlining the day's events was the American Band - Grand Funk Railroad, 50 Years. The current members included Don Brewer, Mel Schacher, Max Carl, Tim Cashion, and Bruce Kulick. Grand Funk Railroad.

From when they came on stage until the final song - "We're an American Band",  they rocked and rolled the audience with what they wanted to hear, the familiar hits including - I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home), Some Kind of Wonderful, Second Chance, and others. "There were a couple of great moments during the show" - Don Brewer brought out the American Flag on stage as the crowd stood, and Bruce Kulick performed an amazing Star Spangled Banner guitar solo. And to add to that, the Percussion Circle/Lightning and Thunder drums and congos by Max Carl, Don Brewer and Tim Cashion were exhilarating to say the least.

Grand Funk Railroad did not disappoint. The band was hot, tight, and fun. If you missed this show, you can visit their site for more tour dates (https://www.grandfunkrailroad.com/tour.html).

Opening for Grand Funk Railroad were the dance party band and Rochester based Nik and the Nice Guys. In the sweltering heat, they performed a great show, as they always do. Visit their website here - https://www.nikentertainment.com/bands/Nik-and-The-Nice-Guys/
