The Food Truck Battle of Syracuse, sponsored by the Food Truck Association of Syracuse, provided a day of food and music on a beautiful spring day to a very large crowd. When I arrived early in the evening, everything was still in full swing: a large crowd, plenty of scrumptious food to choose from, and fans eagerly anticipating the live performance of Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
As McMahon and the band took the stage, fans snuggled up for a 2-hour set that included music from past and recent works. There was lots of energy here, as McMahon played his piano, moving about the stage, jumping up and down off his piano, and eventually making it to the center of the crowd and loyal fans. Some of the songs performed included Smoke and Ribbons, 21 and Invincible, Lying On The Hood Of Your Car, Ohio, and encores Nobody Tells You When You're Young , and Cecilia and the Satellite. In summary, a great night, great music, and a new appreciation for Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and his music . I highly recommend this band if the opportunity comes your way.
